Hi, I’m Samuel Tosto — a learning designer, educator, and lifelong creative who’s passionate about helping people learn in ways that feel clear, engaging, and meaningful. I’m currently earning my M.Ed. in Learning Design & Technology at UNC Charlotte, where I focus on using technology and storytelling to make learning more human.

 

My background in music and digital media has partially contributed to the way I see design. I see this field as an amazing way to bring together people from all walks of life to create instruction for people that can help make the world a better place. Whether I’m developing an eLearning course, writing a script for an instructional video, or planning a blended training program, my goal is to help people understand, apply, and enjoy what they’re learning.

 

At the heart of my philosophy is the belief that learning should prepare people for real life, not just tests or grades. I want learners to feel confident and capable — to see how what they’re learning fits into their goals, their work, and their everyday experiences. That means designing training that’s interactive, inclusive, and grounded in practical skill.

 

I’m especially interested in corporate learning and development and higher education instructional design — spaces where creativity, strategy, and technology come together to make a real difference. My aim is to keep growing as a designer who can help people and organizations learn better, think differently, and connect through meaningful experiences.
